1. In "To be a successful reporter" what are the six qualities a good journalist must possess? Do you agree or disagree? Explain your answer for each.
1. A good reporter is able to handle several topics at the same time while talking to a variety of people; a generalist.
2. A good reporter quickly gets work started and finished and won't stop till their done.
3. A good reporter is interested in the details of the past and present.
4. A good reporter is nice and respectful of the people they talk to even if they don't necessarily like them.
5. A good reporter is honest and does what they say they're going to do. They double check work for accuracy as well as looking at both sides of an issue.
6. A good reporter is brave enough to taking challenges such as admiting to mistakes, writing something that may hurt someone, and talking to strangers.
7. A good reporter must have courage to be the ignorant one and able to take criticism. They must also have courage to see "what is there and not what you want to think is there."

2. In "The nature of news" what is Charles A. Dana's definition of what is news? What are the seven main factors that help them determine if an event has consequence?
The seven main factors to determine if the event has a consequence are impact,proximity,timeliness,prominence.novelty,conflict,and audience.

3. In "The art of interviewing—part 1" and "The art of interviewing—part 2" what are the three ways to gather information? What are the 23 helpful ways to get a good interview?
The three ways to gather information for your story are research, observation and interviewing.

There are 3 ways to gather information interview,research,and observation. If you use those 3methods the better your stories will be.One will be good but the more u put the more better it will be.
